Next August, preschool and kindergarten students in Centerville City Schools will have more time to learn with the addition of 10 minutes of instructional time per day.
Beginning with the 2017-18 school year, morning preschool and kindergarten will be in session from 8:10-10:50 a.m. while the afternoon session will run from 11:55 a.m.-2:35 p.m. These time changes help the school district meet state guidelines for the total number of instructional hours.
First graders will continue to be in session from 8:10 a.m.-2:35 p.m.
Centerville City Schools serve more than 8,100 students in Centerville and Washington Township in southwest Ohio, offering a variety of educational programs to a diverse student population.
