A few modifications have been made to the scheduled 2-hour delays for Centerville City Schools’ 2017-18 school year. Based on parent suggestions, the eight delays will now take place on Wednesdays throughout the school year (Aug. 30, Sept. 27, Nov. 1, Dec. 13, Jan. 24, Feb. 7, March 14 and May 9). The 2017-18 school year will begin for students on Aug. 16, which is a week later than in recent years. In addition, the calendar includes a Fall Break (Oct. 12-16) at the end of the first quarter. Spring Break will be March 26-30, which is earlier than usual to provide more instructional days before spring testing begins.
